The Oxford Climate Journalism Network (OCJN) is a programme that supports a global community of reporters and editors across beats and platforms to improve the quality, understanding and impact of climate coverage around the world. We are a programme of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford.


Workshop on Trauma, Journalism & Graphic Imagery by Dart Centre Asia Pacific

21 Mar 2024 – 23 Mar 2024 | Thailand

Three-day training workshop on Trauma, Journalism & Graphic Imagery hosted by Dart Centre Asia Pacific in Bangkok, Thailand, from March 21-23, 2024. The workshop aimed to assist media practitioners who are regularly confronted with graphic imagery, especially from the Israel-Gaza conflict. Attendees exchanged tactics and acquired a comprehensive comprehension of the effects of trauma on reporters. I am appreciative of the experience and knowledge gained.


ADB-Thomson Reuters Foundation training on Reporting on Crises and Disasters

10 Oct 2023 – 12 Oct 2023 | Dhaka

This training programme from Thomson Reuters Foundation (TRF), in partnership with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), offers journalists an opportunity to expand their expertise in reporting about humanitarian crises and disasters triggered by natural hazards. Drawing on contemporary best practices of reporting and writing, the course will focus on how to cover a crisis or disaster while working with multiple and complex sources, and using mobile and online journalism skills.


Mental Health in Journalism Summit 2024

Participated in the global summit focused on addressing burnout, anxiety, trauma, and work-related stress among media professionals. Engaged in sessions on trauma-aware reporting, peer-support models, newsroom wellbeing, and resilience strategies for journalists in high-risk environments.


Science Journalism Forum (SJF24)

28 Oct 2024 – 31 Oct 2024

Awarded a fellowship to attend the world’s largest virtual gathering of science journalists, held under the theme “Transforming Narratives: Reshaping the Landscape of Science Journalism.” Engaged in 30+ sessions featuring 70+ global experts, covering AI in science reporting, environmental storytelling, and public awareness on global issues.


EMK-BJIM Journalism Fellowship 2023

5 Jun 2023 – 19 Aug 2023

The BuildingAssets Journalism School (BJS), an educational and non-profit concern of Bangladeshi Journalists in International Media (BJIM), launched a fellowship for mid-career journalists with the sponsorship of Edward M Kennedy (EMK) Center in Dhaka. The 10th-week long fellowship titled "Necessary Workshops For A Better Press" has selected 40 mid-career journalists after a rigorous selection procedure
